After the Storm

Intricacy Admist Chaos
Sunday morning we experienced a dangerous storm. Everyone's electricy went out, and people retreated to their basements to stay safe. It was truly a day of ups and downs. The storm we had is called a "microburst" and whatever microbursts do, this one shredded through the area at rapid speed... splintering trees, knocking down fences, and awakening fears for those with no house insurance. Car windows were smashed, roofs collapsed, and streets were blocked by large, fallen branches.
After the first tornado rolled through, it calmed down for a while. I walked outside to survey the damage. People were walking about solemn and stunned. A man stood across the street talking wildly on his cell phone about how his property was hurt. Two hippies from the street, smoking what looked like handmade cigarettes, joined me for a couple minutes taking photographs of this one tree that had been ripped in two. " Dude, I love that tree." One of them told me.
Here are some of my photographs.
